The Wheeler Chapel Trust is seeking an individual with a passion for Merrimack's history and its preservation to replace an outgoing trustee. The Trust is a five member board which serves as the owner and governing body of Wheeler Memorial Chapel which is located at 590 Daniel Webster Highway in Merrimack, NH.

The appropriate candidate for Trustee must:

• Be a resident of the Town of Merrimack
• Be able to attend one meeting per month (at a time and place mutually agreed upon by the Board)
• Be willing to follow through on action items assigned at meetings and other times (as collectively agreed upon by the Board)
• Make reasonable efforts to promote and advance the interests of the chapel and the Charter of Deacon John Wheeler which may include any of the following: fundraising, grant writing, attending Chamber of Commerce and similar events, making arrangements with potential renters, working with vendor/contractors who may be undertaking restoration/renovation projects and assist in work events with the board and other volunteers to repair/maintain the chapel and grounds

The Trustee position is a volunteer position that (with meetings and action items) would typically require at least 5 hours/month and not more than 10hours/month as averaged throughout a year.
The desired candidate will always strive to advance the Mission of the Trust, the Charter and the chapel user community as a whole.
